St Joseph's Church, Brighton

CWO has undertaken the sensitive repair works to the historic St. Joseph’s RC Church using traditional materials and methods.

The church was built in 1879 and more than a century of exposure to salt laden sea breezes had taken its toll on the slate roof and decorative stonework.  The old roof tiles were replaced with a new roof using Vermont Green Slate.

Extensive cleaning of the stone facades was carried out, as well as the replacement of two ornate tracery stone windows made of Bath Stone to match existing.
